Night splint seems to work as recommended by my foot & ankle specialist. One major problem, probably for me only as I am recovering from a year old total right knee replacement. The splint I received from my doctor is supposed to be universal, but I could not get it on as the plastic clips were on the "OUTSIDE" of my RIGHT foot. I had to grind off the 6 rivets and relocate and re-rivet the straps and clips to the opposite side so that the clips were on the inside of my right foot and leg so I could easily clip them. Maybe TriOrthopedic should offer 2 models, a left and a right foot model. This would have saved me 2 hours of hand customizing the splint with a dremel tool and a pop-rivet gun.
